The couple met on a Jewish dating app on the summer of 2018 while Noemi was visiting family in Miami prior to starting her last year of dental school in Baltimore, Maryland. Shortly after going on a few dates, Noemi went back to Maryland. Just a week after they met, Jonathan was on a flight to visit Noemi. The couple did one year of long distance and traveled to see each other often. It was avery romantic, long distance relationship. After Noemi's graduation she moved to Miami to be with Jonathan, and the rest is history.

Jonathan and Noemi planned a two week hiking trip to Utah and Arizona. Once they made it to Sedona, Arizona; Jonathan told Noemi to dress up for a nice dinner after a fun day of hiking. Jonathan specified they will do a simple walk to a sunset viewpoint prior to dinner. The couple dressed up and went on the simple walk that turned out to be an intense hike and Noemi was wearing sandals (at least she was not wearing heels!) After the hike, the couple made it to the most gorgeous viewpoint in all of Sedona, where Jonathan got on one knee and asked Noemi to marry him. It was the most perfect proposal!
